The Czech Republic's data protection authority, the Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, announced an extension to employers' data protection obligations related to employee COVID-19 testing. The UOOU explained the two methods of lawfully processing the data of tested employees and noted the retention period for this data is a maximum of three years, which was mandated by public health authorities. Additionally, the UOOU offered accompanying documents to help employees and employers understand rights and obligations, respectively.
