Three large video game publishers have been impacted by cyberattacks involving data theft over the past year, The Wall Street Journal reports. Electronic Arts confirmed a breach this week, which followed ransomware attacks on Polish game developer CD Projekt and Japanese developer and publisher Capcom. Hackers accessed source code for games, threatening to auction it on the dark web. CD Projekt redesigned its infrastructure, upgraded firewalls and expanded internal security while Capcom created a cybersecurity oversight committee.
