A University of North Dakota blog post highlights the cybersecurity field’s gender gap and said diversity is needed. According to the 2017 Global Information Security Workforce Study, 11% of cybersecurity positions are held by women and 1 in every 10 cybersecurity managers is female. “(Cybersecurity) may be a challenging field for women to pursue, but the shortage of qualified professionals in the field is a great opportunity for women to get ahead,” the post states.
