Petlog has been accused of losing personal information belonging to the owners of 9 million chipped pets, BBC News reports. It's unclear how the U.K. pet database potentially lost the data, which included physical addresses and phone numbers, but it prompted customers to create new accounts without a reason for such a move. "This seems like a massive breach of GDPR (data-protection regulations)," said David Plant, an affected customer. "In theory I could register his dog to my address and claim him as mine."
