Canada’s Communications Security Establishment is urging COVID-19 researchers to protect data as “sophisticated threat actors” may look to steal “key research toward a vaccine,” The Globe and Mail reports. The CSE said, “These actors may attempt to gain intelligence on COVID-19 response efforts and potential political responses to the crisis.” Laval University Research Scientist Gary Kobinger said researchers need to “collaborate with the right crowd” and make sure data does not fall into the wrong hands.
