Spain's data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, ordered Tools for Humanity, founder of the Worldcoin cryptocurrency project, to cease the collection and processing of personal data in Spain. The AEPD reported receiving complaints regarding alleged collection of minors' data without allowing the withdrawal of consent. Additionally, Tools for Humanity was the subject of official inquiries and/or enforcement actions in Hong Kong, Kenya and South Korea.
