In an open letter to Canadian Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry François-Philippe Champagne, stakeholders called for major changes to Bill C-27, Canada's proposed omnibus privacy and artificial intelligence legislation, the Financial Post reports. Meanwhile, in an opening statement before the Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology launching a review of the proposals, Champagne said he heard critics and amendments are planned to address concerns, University of Ottawa law professor Michael Geist reported in a blog post.
