The California Privacy Protection Agency is soliciting applications for its first general counsel. The appointed candidate would serve as the lead legal advisor to CPPA Executive Director Ashkan Soltani. According to the job posting, general counsel will be tasked with "the most sensitive and complex legal work for the Agency" while lending expertise on "legal and policy matters affecting the Agency's operations and its implementation of the California Consumer Privacy Act."
