The Chilean Transparency Council, Consejo para la Transparencia, proposed the country create data protection legislation to address issues brought forth by the COVID-19 outbreak. CPLT President Jorge Jaraquemada discussed the need to protect patient and individual privacy by creating an agency to ensure those protections are upheld.
