The Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the European Union announced amendments to the European Commission's Digital Markets Act proposal. The council pitched further changes to the scope of obligations and users' rights to opt out of advertising and other platform services. The council confirmed the European Commission as the sole enforcer of the law. Slovenian Minister for Economic Development and Technology Zdravko Počivalšek said the proposal shows EU member states' "willingness and ambition" to regulate in a way that will "hopefully set a trend worldwide."
