Minister for COVID-19 Response Chris Hipkins said the move to the Bluetooth-based Exposure Notification Framework is "vitally important" and "an additional tool that will help to speed up contact tracing."
  • Bloomberg reports on the success of Singapore's TraceTogether program, which has amassed 3.4 million users.
  • In the U.S., California launched its COVID-19 contact-tracing app, Reuters reports. CA Notify App is powered by the Apple-Google Exposure Notification Framework and was previously tested on California college campuses before its statewide release.
