In an op-ed for The New York Times, Congressman Ted Lieu, D-Calif., writes about the need to regulate artificial intelligence. "I am freaked out by A.I., specifically A.I. that is left unchecked and unregulated," he said. Lieu called for an agency dedicated to regulating AI and said he will introduce legislation to create a nonpartisan commission "to provide recommendations on how to structure a federal agency to regulate A.I., what types of A.I. should be regulated and what standards should apply."
