Disney and Viacom are among a group of companies that have agreed to improve children's privacy practices in order to settle lawsuits brought forth by parents, MediaPost reports. The defendants plan to scale back their data collection and behavioral advertising associated with the children's apps they deploy. A recent court filing by the plaintiffs' attorneys explained that "no personal data collected from a current app session can be used in any manner to target that user in future sessions."
