During an interview at RSA Conference 2018, Forticode CEO Tony Smales discussed the authentication challenges currently facing organizations, HealthcareInfoSecurity reports. With data breach notification laws popping up in the U.S. and Australia, as well as the EU General Data Protection Regulation, Smales said companies need to have better methods for verifying a person’s identity that are user-friendly. "They don't like having things made harder, so therefore authentication has some really interesting challenges of how do I enforce those strictures whilst at the same time making it easy for people to get in and do what they need to do on a daily basis," Smales said.
