As part of its investigation into Equifax's recent data breach, the House Energy and Commerce Committee sent the company seven pages of questions and requests, The Hill reports. Finding former Chief Executive Officer Richard Smith’s October testimony "insufficient," the committee is seeking information on “all of the communications between former Chief Executive Officer Richard Smith, former Chief Information Officer Susan Mauldin and former Chief Security Officer David Webb concerning the security flaw leading into the breach and all communications to and from the chief legal officer, John Kelley, on the issue.” In addition, the committee requested additional information be provided for 34 specific issues.
