A new report by the U.K. Committee on Standards in Public Life states regulators must adapt to the challenges presented by artificial intelligence and that with clear, enforceable safeguards and greater transparency, the public can have confidence in new technologies, a news release on Gov.UK states. Committee Chair Jonathan Evans said AI “will transform the way public sector organisations make decisions and deliver public services,” adding as the technology is fast-moving, “government and regulators will need to act swiftly to keep up with the pace of innovation.”
