A delay in Thailand's Personal Data Protection Committee’s formation is anticipated to hinder preparedness for the Personal Data Protection Act, the Bangkok Post reports. The PDPA was partially enforced in May, and Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society Putchapong Nodthaisong said more than 200 issues have been brought forward for review. He said the DES Ministry may have to formulate necessary regulations relating to the complaint process and cross-border data transfers.
