A proposed executive order could block American cloud computing companies from certain foreign countries, Axios reports. The proposal would give the Department of Commerce authority to ban U.S. cloud service providers from doing business in those countries — most likely China, Russia and Iran, the report states. It would also ban U.S. customers from using providers located there. An industry source said U.S. cloud companies feel the order would unfairly impact their relationships with other countries.
