The National Privacy Commission of the Philippines has announced that the Commission on Elections has experienced another data breach, ABS CBN News reports. The breach was a "physical" one and the NPC had begun an investigation into the matter, NPC Deputy Commissioner Dondi Mapa said. It was unclear if voter information was vulnerable, the report states. This is the second such breach for Comelec, when "at the height of last year's presidential elections, the Comelec Voter Information system was hacked, which prompted the NPC to recommend the filing of criminal charges against Comelec Chairman Andres Bautista," the report states.
