U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Frank Pallone, D-N.J., and Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation Ranking Member Roger Wicker, R-Miss., intend to keep pushing for consideration and hopeful passage of the proposed American Data Privacy and Protection Act, Axios reports. A Pallone spokesperson said the senator "is continuing to build broad bipartisan support and incorporate feedback from members" as the bill awaits a House floor vote. Wicker said, "this chance may not come again" and hopes Congressional Democrats "don’t let the American public down by failing to act."
