France's data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, published its "2020 Activity Report," which highlights COVID-19 privacy matters, enforcement work and more. With COVID-19, the CNIL said it deployed "support and the repressive chain" to address increased online activity while "remaining attentive to its audiences." The regulator also reported 247 enforcement checks with 14 sanctions totaling more than 138 million euros.
