France's data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, released eight recommendations to improve the protection of minors online. Based on results from an April 2020 public consultation, the CNIL suggestions include increased parental supervision and controls, further exercising of minors' rights, and a focus on age verification and consent. The regulator also noted it launched workshops to gain further perspective from minors on a digital experience that "meets their need for protection and their desire for autonomy."
