The French data protection authority's digital innovation lab, the Laboratoire d'Innovation Numérique de la CNIL, published research regarding the exploration of how privacy protections might look in 2030. The report laid out three future outlooks at privacy and complementary approaches to those visions based on predictions and ideologies brought forth during past workshops. The lab indicated the outlined futures are "conducive to debate" and "neither exhaustive nor definitive," acknowledging other views exist or will come to light in the years to come.
