France's data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, fined Doctissimo 380,000 euros for failing to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation and French Data Protection Act. Following four investigations stemming from a complaint by Privacy International, the CNIL said the health data-focused website failed to store data for no longer than necessary, to obtain individuals' consent to collect health data, to adequately secure personal data and to meet the FDPA's cookie obligations.
