France's data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés, signed a data transfer deal between the French High Council of the Statutory Auditors and the U.S. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board. The CNIL authorized the deal after considering an opinion from the European Data Protection Board that found the deal met the standards of the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
