Cloud data-loss prevention startup Nightfall AI announced the company received $40 million in Series B funding, TechCrunch reports. CEO Isaac Madan said the funding would be used for doubling its 60 employees to scale operations. The platform oversees data flowing in and out of applications, such as Salesforce and Slack. Machine-learning algorithms then classify the data as “sensitive, personally identifiable, noncompliant (with various laws) or safe to share.”
