Clearview AI is preparing for a massive expansion after company officials told investors it could have 100 billion facial images within a year, The Washington Post reports. Clearview’s goal is to ensure “almost everyone in the world will be identifiable” and that other organizations will utilize its database beyond law enforcement. The company claimed its “index of faces” has grown to more than 10 billion since early 2020 and its data collection system uploads 1.5 billion images per month.
