A report by Newfoundland and Labrador Information and Privacy Commissioner Michael Harvey said the Mount Pearl City Council’s handling of an employee harassment complaint violated the Access to Information and Protection of Privacy Act, CBC News reports. Harvey said the council’s providing of employee complaints to the individual accused of harassment “cannot be justified.” Meanwhile, an Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada investigation into TD Canada Trust's outsourcing of fraud claim processing to a third-party, found customers received appropriate information.
