The Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) online program has gotten an upgrade. Now, both the CIPM and CIPP/G programs are built with HTML5, meaning they can be viewed on just about any device—including Android devices, iPads, iPhones and Windows phones—plus, the content can be downloaded for offline viewing.

The IAPP launched CIPM in 2013 as a complement to its Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP) designations. It is the first and only certification in privacy program management, developed in response to overwhelming demand to collect and collate common practices for managing privacy operations.

Aimed at chief privacy officers, corporate privacy managers, compliance officers, risk managers, information security and auditing professionals and a host of others with responsibility for implementing privacy policy, the CIPM covers subject matter like creating a company vision, structuring a privacy team, measuring performance and developing and implementing a privacy program framework.

Plans to similarly upgrade the Certification Foundation program, followed by the CIPP/US program, are underway.
