The Centre for Information Policy Leadership recently published a report on artificial intelligence and data protection, according to a post from Hunton Andrews Kurth's Privacy & Information Security Law Blog. The report, titled “Artificial Intelligence and Data Protection in Tension,” was published ahead of the CIPL’s second phase of its AI project and is intended to provide clarification for what AI is, the uses of AI, the role that personal data plays in its development and use, and the opportunities and challenges presented by AI. The next phase will include working with key stakeholders to identify possible solutions in addressing the findings outlined in this report.
