Internet security company Qihoo 360 Technology has permanently ended its live-streaming platform, Shuidi Zhibo, and pulled down all videos after its use raised privacy concerns, the South China Morning Post reports. The concerns were raised after Shuidi Zhibo was used to broadcast live-streams of classrooms and dormitories at schools in China’s Henan province. The company said it is unable to control what was shown on the platform, despite providing privacy information to web cam users, and has decided to remove the live-streaming feature in the 360 smart camera. In a statement, the company said it would now only offer security monitoring.
