  • Italy's data protection authority, the Garante, announced TikTok responded to a prior request to halt data processing on individuals whose ages cannot be confirmed. TikTok plans to ban users ages 13 and under and consider artificial intelligence-based age verification.
  • Reuters reports the U.S. District Court of New Mexico ruled the children's privacy allegations brought against Google by New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas can proceed.
  • PrivacyCheq announced its Children's Online Privacy Protection Act compliance tool, ConsentCheq, has been updated to comply with provisions in the California Consumer Privacy Act and the California Privacy Rights Act.
