A class-action lawsuit has been filed against Family and Children’s Services of Lanark, Leeds and Grenville after a privacy breach revealed the names of 285 current and former clients, The Canadian Press reports. The breach occurred April 18 and the FCS believes the names are no longer online.The eastern Ontario children’s aid office did not release what safety measures were installed to safeguard client data and will not offer any more information until the suit goes to court, but is working on enhancing its website’s security protections.
