Marketing software company Cheetah Digital has acquired Wayin, a company focused on zero-party data collection and activation, according to a Yahoo Finance news release. The deal helps Cheetah Digital increase its ability to help marketers collect zero- and first-party data while implementing more personalized, real-time customer engagement across channels. Cheetah Digital CEO Sameer Kazi said combining his company's work with that of Wayin will make it so "marketers are able to put that data to work in real-time with hyper-personalized experiences across all channels." Wayin CEO Richard Jones said his company is "thrilled to join Cheetah Digital and continue our mission to facilitate honest, mutually beneficial relationships between brands and consumers."
