Auckland, New Zealand, television documentary maker and podcaster David Farrier was in the changing room after a swim when he was captured on another man’s video meeting, the NZ Herald reports. In response to Farrier’s tweet inquiring as to the appropriateness of an outside video call, Privacy Commissioner John Edwards replied saying it was “so wrong.” Under the Crimes Amendment Act, an intimate visual recording of an individual who would reasonably expect privacy is illegal.
