CCCS head says bad actors using AI for malicious purposes

In an interview with Reuters, Canadian Centre for Cyber Security Head Sami Khoury warned hackers and "propagandists" are using artificial intelligence to create malicious software for phishing and disinformation campaigns. Khoury said his agency observed "AI being used 'in phishing emails, or crafting emails in a more focused way, in malicious code (and) in misinformation and disinformation.'"
