U.S. Customs and Border Protection has suspended its federal contracting agreement with surveillance equipment provider Perceptics following a cyberattack in June, The Washington Post reports. CBP officials found “evidence of conduct indicating a lack of business honesty or integrity” as it reviewed Perceptics following a data breach involving images of license plates and drivers' faces, along with government plans to expand border surveillance tactics. Perceptics is now subject to administrative proceedings to determine if the company should be debarred or prohibited for an extended period from working for the federal government.
