As part of its privacy engineering masters program, Carnegie Mellon University is seeking organizations that want to sponsor capstone projects in the fall. Small teams of students with technical backgrounds will work on the projects under the supervision of a faculty member beginning in August. Organizations are asked to specify a project of interest, a contact person to hold virtual weekly meetings with the team, and sponsorship funding. Students will produce a variety of deliverables, including a final report and presentation. Students from past projects have developed prototype software, industry practice surveys and feasibility studies. If interested, please reach out to the CMU Privacy Engineering Program Co-Directors Lorrie Faith Cranor, CIPT, at lorrie@cmu.edu and Norman Sadeh, CIPT, at sadeh@cs.cmu.edu.
