The U.N.’s Special Rapporteur for the Right to Privacy Joseph Cannataci will provide two keynote speeches during the New Zealand Privacy Commissioner’s Privacy Forums in Wellington and Auckland this May, the agency said in a statement. Cannataci “is the world's first privacy investigator at this international level,” the release states. “He was appointed by the United Nations to the newly created position last year.” Also speaking during the week — specifically at the Auckland Privacy Forum — will be Australian Acting Information Commissioner Timothy Pilgrim. Registration for the events is now open.
