Facebook is asking the Federal Court of Canada to overturn the findings from a probe into its personal data practices by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner, the National Post reports. Facebook's court submission alleges the investigation by Canadian Privacy Commissioner Daniel Therrien "was neither impartial nor independent, and lacked procedural fairness." The court filing follows the OPC's Notice of Application against Facebook in February. Editor's note: IAPP Associate Editor Ryan Chiavetta, CIPP/US, wrote for The Privacy Advisor on the OPC's findings from its Facebook investigation.
