Politico reports California lawmakers are revisiting a debate around worker privacy. Employee privacy exemptions carved out of the California Consumer Privacy Act expire at the end of the year, while State Sen. Bob Hertzberg, D-Calif., Assemblymembers Jesse Gabriel, D-Calif., and Ash Kalra, D-Calif., are working toward a compromise. The legislators have less than a month to craft a proposal for it to be reviewed by policy committees before summer recess.
