Businesses are asking Indonesia's House of Representatives not to include regulation of anonymized data in the Personal Data Protection Bill, The Jakarta Post reports. While businesses that manage large quantities of data said it could hinder their development, lawmakers said one of the bill’s primary objectives is to regulate encrypted and anonymized behavioral data. House deliberation on the bill is anticipated to be complete by October.
