Bulgaria's Commission for Personal Data Protection announced a fine of BGN 55,000 against the National Revenue Agency for EU General Data Protection Regulation violations. The CPDP investigated an individual complaint that the NRA was processing personal data without data subjects' consent. The NRA's improper processing, which led to subsequent data misuse, was found to have violated Article 6 of the GDPR. (Original article is in Bulgarian.)
