U.S. Federal Trade Commissioners Rebecca Kelly Slaughter and Christine Wilson will take part in a conversation on privacy with the Center for Technology Innovation at the Brookings Institution Oct. 28. Distinguished Visiting Fellow Cameron Kerry will moderate the discussion, which seeks to shed light on the FTC's current and future priorities, as well as its authoritative role as it relates to privacy. Slaughter and Wilson are also slated to share the commission's perspectives on a potential federal U.S. privacy law and the challenges stemming from emerging technologies.
