The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia issued a report following up on December 2022 allegations against the Provincial Health Services Authority's privacy practices. The office said the PHSA "has taken meaningful steps to incorporate recommendations aimed at strengthening the privacy and security" of its health information system. Commissioner Michael McEvoy said the follow-up review showed implementation of "security controls that should have been in place from the outset."
