Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro signed a decree officially appointing his nominations to the board of directors for the data protection authority, the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados. Waldemar Gonçalves Ortunho Junior will take up a six-year term as the ANPD's president, while Arthur Pereira Sabbat, Miriam Wimmer, CIPP/E, Nairane Farias Rabelo Leitão and Joacil Basilio Rael will serve as director for at least two years.
