Members of the U.S. House of Representatives want to restart talks regarding a federal privacy legislation, MeriTalk reports. During a July 9 meeting of the House Committee on Energy and Commerce's Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee, Reps. Cathy McMorris Rodgers, R-Wash., and Jan Schakowsky, D-Ill., each voiced support for lawmakers circling back on privacy talks. "Data privacy is the most fundamental consumer protection we could advance, and we should right now be working together," McMorris Rodgers said.
