Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a bill into law that would increase fines for data-processing violations. Financial penalties for cases involving individuals have gone from a maximum of RUB 5,000 to RUB 6,000. For cases involving legal entities, the fines have increased from RUB 75,000 to RUB 100,000. The bill also includes an increase in fines for repeat offenders.
