Canadian MPs warned Facebook’s top officials could be found in contempt of Parliament if they continue to ignore a subpoena, CBC News reports. The remarks were issued ahead of a three-day event in which politicians from Canada and 10 other countries will discuss best practices to protect an individual’s privacy and democracy in the age of social media. Shortly following those remarks, a panel of international politicians expressed their frustration that Facebook executives Mark Zuckerberg and Sheryl Sandberg failed to appear before the committee, instead, sending two public policy directors in their place, according to CTV News.
