The White House announced the renomination of Georgetown University Founding Director of the Center on Privacy & Technology Alvaro Bedoya for the final commissioner vacancy at the U.S. Federal Trade Commission. Bedoya's prior nomination expired at the end of 2021 as the Senate was debating his confirmation. The Senate Commerce Committee voted 14–14 along party lines to advance the nomination, but it was never raised with the full Senate before year's end.
